Something Fascinating for Friday

I came across this blog post yesterday - it is worth your time. Chris Higgins from Mental_floss shares his discovery of this fascinating story of a man that took a Polaroid every day for 18 years until the day he died.

Given I am beginning to document more of my everyday encounters (such as Walk with me Wednesday) I found this story very compelling.

Chris Higgins gives us his discovery and the information he found along the way. Read it in his words here.

The photographs span from March 31, 1979 to October 25, 1997 and range from casual gatherings with friends, simple existence and significant personal moments - each one a brief glimpse into this photographer's life.

Walk with me Wednesday August 12

Welcome to Walk with me Wednesday!

I have always had a thing for frogs and I have a growing collection. Tiny silver ones, knick-knack froggy boxes, ceramic figures, magnets...the first git from the husband was a tiny golden froggy pendant. I think it all started with the little crocheted frog my mom made me when I was small. He's so floppy and fun.

There is a pond near where we live and at night we can hear the chorus of frogs - it's really cool. Well, the other morning I went to my car to go to work, opened the door and right there in the door jam was this little guy!

I am clueless as to how he got there - but it's not the first time. I've found two others on separate occasions in the jam of my hatch - but this is the first I caught on film. Maybe there's a secret froggy trap door somewhere in my car... It took me a while to coax him off the car and into the grass...although I would have enjoyed taking him to work!

Welcome to Mellow Out Monday! For a Monday, I must admit it's pretty calm here in the office so far. Now that we've hit August, I can feel that back to school feeling in the air and the energy that comes with it. Soon our office will be hopping! I picked this particular picture because it makes me think of a leisurely bicycle ride through a park or campus - very back to school-esque.
